I am sure that the majority of the people reading this will already know what I am about to say. But I am going to explain it simply, so you can understand.
In the last several years I have worked on more than 60 software projects, including many web projects. It has been a constant source of excitement, challenge, and personal satisfaction to me that I have spent so much time and effort developing and building software. In spite of this, I have always had a strong desire to do “serious” software – that is to say, software that has a real need for a user.
I have spent so much time building code and testing it that it is extremely hard to know what to do. We may have been on more than 1,000 projects a year, but we have all been working on a lot of them. Most of them don’t even need to be coded, or have any really useful features. There are just too many people who have to deal with coding anymore.
I can only speak for myself, but I’ve never felt that I’ve really needed to do software. I’ve had a few very successful software projects, but I don’t believe that I have ever seriously needed to code anything. I know that there are a lot of people who need to do this kind of work, and I think it’s great, but I don’t think I have ever needed to do it.
When you start coding you have to learn the basics: the tools, how to code your interface, how to code your interfaces, and how to code those tools. If you learn the basics, you will probably build your own interface, and you will be able to do more things than you ever did before.
I think I’m going to have to try to do this.
This is just my personal opinion, but I think the time you spent learning these basics is well worth it. We spend so much time doing so much of the hard work, but we don’t even know what we did to deserve that. So if you don’t do this, your whole life will be worse. We’re not here for you to learn coding, we’re here for you to learn how to be awesome.

You really should try it. If you can do it, you should do it. And if you don’t, you should learn. And if you don’t, you should take the time to do it. So what are you waiting for, you should try it, you should try it now.
The best way to learn something is to do it. Sure you can learn it by reading a book, but it’s just as easy to just get out there and do it. You need to learn how to do what you’re doing to actually do it.
